Auto Unequip Shield To Back
We thought it would be best to start with something easy, clean, and useful. If you have a shield worn in vanilla Skyrim, you can always see it on your arm. Shields don’t go back into their sheaths like guns do, because they don’t have one. If this has ever bothered you, you don’t have to take off your shield every time you leave a cave.
The Auto Unequip Shield to Back mod lets the Dragonborn put a shield on their back so it’s not always in their hands. You’ll be so glad that the corner of your shield won’t keep popping up in your line of sight anymore. As a plus, it also works on people who follow you.
it works on followers, too.
Smithing Perks Overhaul
A lot of warrior players choose to spend a lot of time and effort at a forge making the best armor and weapons they can. This is a good goal, but the method can sometimes feel out of whack. For example, if you use heavy armor, you might have to put a point into a Smithing perk that applies to light armor because it also applies to the type of weapon you use.
In the end, the Smithing Perks Overhaul brings Smithing back into balance and makes it a much better experience for players. You can read about all of the changes in the mod’s description, but in general, it gets rid of redundancies in the way Smithing was done before. It also gives you the choice of using a slightly changed version of the vanilla Smithing tree or a totally new one.
Practical Female Armor
Skyrim is like a lot of other games in that the female characters are sexualized too much. One set of armor looks fine on a man, but when it’s worn by a woman, it’s barely more than a bikini. Fair enough, not all of the gear is like this, but even sets of armor that totally cover female models have crazy details, like breasts that are already built into the chest plate. Bras are expensive enough that they have to be made to fit each woman’s size. We can’t even think how much it would cost to make a piece of metal fit a woman’s bust.
One modder came to help, which was a relief. The Practical Female Armors mod (which used to be called Less Sexy Armor Redux) makes some of the worst armors less showing and more useful. The mod’s description has a full list of the armors that have been changed.
Dual Wield Parrying Reimplementation
Block, Parry, and Bash can only be used in vanilla Skyrim if you have a Shield equipped. We thought we had seen a lot of characters in movies, TV shows, and other video games block or parry with their normal weapons.
One person who made things has heard your confusion! They made a simple mod that lets you Block, Parry, and/or Bash even if you are holding a weapon, a spell, or both. It can be used with a controller or a computer and mouse.
The person who made this mod also suggests the Pretty Combat Animations mod, which they use themselves for dual-wielding.
Bandolier
Have you ever been looting a dungeon when you suddenly couldn’t take even one more Sweet Roll?Who are we kidding? You have, right? Carry weight is one of the few things that stops you from stealing everything in Skyrim and selling it to the next trader you meet. Warriors probably have a lot of strength, which makes them able to carry more weight, but sometimes that isn’t enough.
The Bandolier mod can help you out of this situation. It adds bags and pouches to Basket Random that make you carry a lot more weight when you use them. You can get a small bandolier if you don’t need much extra room or a big one if you do. It might look a little silly for the Dragonborn to walk around with a fancy fanny pack, but when you’re the richest person in Skyrim, you’ll have the last laugh.
Immersive Weapons
As a fighter, you’ll spend a lot of your time holding on to a big piece of metal. After a while, looking at slightly different versions of the same sword shape gets really boring. The Immersive Weapons mod’s main goal is to give you more weapons to choose from. It gives the game a huge 230 new guns and 21 new types of weapons. You’ll find the new weapons as you travel through Skyrim. They’re on leveled loot lists, sold by dealers, shown in dungeons, etc., so you’ll see them as you go baddiehub.
There are also a few other benefits you should know about. You’ll start to run into enemies with two weapons, for one. Also, you can now take apart your guns at a smelter and recycle the parts, which is great for the environment.
